Dermot Mulroney and Diane Kruger star as the parents of a terminally ill child who needs a lung transplant but are too far down on the transplant list to have much hope conventionally. Their desperation leads them to look for alternate, less legal options south of the border.
Really good movie, with good performances and a pretty dire subject matter.
Pleasantly surprised for a movie I hadn’t heard of before today.

Inhale acts like it has a lot that it wants to say but never seems to get around to saying much at all. Dermot Mulroney plays a high-profile lawyer whose daughter needs a lung transplant in order to save her life. I'm assuming she has cystic fibrosis, although her condition/disease is never named. Tired of the hospital system's bureaucracy crippling the recipient selection process, he decides to run up all of his credit and take an organ tourism trip south of the border. Juarez, Mexico is not all he expected it to be. His expectation to buy lungs on the black market for his daughter is not as clean and simple as he anticipates either. A few memorable scenes in an otherwise unmemorable film and a conflicted ending...decent but not great.
Recht spannender Film um Organtourismus mit einem doch, für mich, unrealistischem Ende.
Would you do the wrong thing for someone you love or do the right thing for someone you don’t?
What would you do?
Considering the cast, I expected better. Mulroney does a decent job, however virtually every one else is either sleepwalking, or suffering from a poorly written role. This is a "film with a message" that ultimately doesn't really convey that message very well. Not a complete waste tho.
Inhale was one of those films which I knew nothing about and randomly stumbled upon on television. But thankfully I did not regret watching the full film. It deals with a man trying to find new organs for his daughter which leads him to having to find a specific doctor in Mexico where he stumbles upon dangerous people. I thought this film was really intense and very interesting. However, it is quite slow at some points as well as the cinematography could have been better but nonetheless, I enjoyed it over all and really liked how they ended the film. I thought that last touch was what the film needed. The acting was good and it really knows how to show the grittiness of Mexico and how far a father would go to save his own child.
62% out of 100%
Having studied the matter this film focuses on in school, the film felt very real to me, and i could very much relate to all the troubles the father has to go through to save his child. It is a world of corruption and controversial but the film doesn't hit right on the spot.
Intriguing look at the illegal organ donor business as a father heads south of the border to get lungs for his dying daughter. One hell of a downer ending though.
