On an alternate Earth, the Joker tricks Superman into killing Lois Lane, which causes a rampage in the hero. Superman decides to take control of Earth, Batman and his allies will have to attempt to stop him.
The word to use here is “disappointing.” It isn’t that Injustice is a travesty, but there is so much about this animated iteration that will rub fans of the story the wrong way. As much of an unbiased approach I attempt to have with every review, sometimes knowing the story can hurt your thoughts going in. When a film takes beautifully fleshed out source material and squeezes it into an 80 minute film, that…
Imagine cramming years of material into a readers digest version of one of the most popular comic book stories in the past 10 years. This is less so about the movie not being faithful to the comic series and more so about how the movie can never commit to an identity. It wants to be its own retelling of the Injustice storyline by doing stuff differently, but it also cannot help but do shocking recreations of parts of the comic and video game without any sort of build up or emotional depth whatsoever. We should be getting 6-8 injustice movies with how dense this storyline is. I would honestly prefer a complete retelling of this story in animation form just…
I got Jimmy on my shoe.
Has such a big "Maybe the real Injustice was the friends we made along the way." ending that it made my eyes roll back into my head so far and so quickly that I'm still seeing stars. Very bad movie, and I was hoping that wouldn't be the case even though I was hearing mostly negative things about this. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I say this as someone who thinks "What if Superman was evil?" is the laziest possible way to write that character, Injustice as a fighting game series I like a lot. I wouldn't want to dare think of how many hours I've put in the…
The 10 minutes we got from Zack Snyder's loose adaptation of this story is in itself way better than this.
This was so rushed, the voice acting was meh minus Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, the character designs were awful and it overall managed to make an already widley disliked storyline even worse.
