One of those movies where quality is irrelevant because Elsa Pataky is fucking jacked and stabs someone in the eye with a handgun.
Unwatchable.
It's only 98 minutes long, but it feels like an eternity. To be fair, Elsa Pataky tried her hardest to act the part as written, but her character felt a lot like a Gal Gadot wannabe. With its cliched script, tired tropes, and low-budget production look and feel, it felt like a fan-made film. It's unsurprisingly bad. We literally know what the film is about and what will happen at the end about 5 minutes into it.
One of those Netflix films that was doomed to fail even before it was released.
”I was a product of a failed society”
This stupid movie is so utterly heavy-handed that I’m pretty sure I’ll be waking up with sore arms tomorrow.
You see, I say that because it was…
”No mansplaining”

One Army captain must use her years of tactical training and military expertise when a simultaneous coordinated attack threatens the remote missile interceptor station she is in command of.
Elsa Pataky stars opposite Luke Bracey in this wild action film. I say wild but really mean ridiculously over-the-top with its dialogue. This is fine if the film is self-aware or lets loose every now and then, but Interceptor takes itself far too serious from start to finish. Pataky is solid, and her ability to command the screen is evident. Her character is given a backstory with a tragedy that is hinted at throughout the first act, until the giant exposition dump…
Elsa Pataky must Intercept,
So missiles will properly eject.
Bad guys attack,
But she'll talk smack,
Since everyone there's a suspect.
An ideal movie to have on and half pay attention to while your working just so you can look up when cool shit starts happening.
this one here was shot locally here in Sydney and the production for it was nice. had a fun time watching this but I fully won’t remember it in a few days.
it’s got one clean premise and some slick action sequences that keep you hooked throughout it’s fast paced runtime as well as a cameo from a Hemsworth himself. nothing too bad for a Netflix original tbh.
Score : 2.5/10 ✅
What a terrible, terrible movie. At best, Interceptor feels like a 90s silly action film that will kill time while you scroll on your phone. At worst, you’ll find any justifiable excuses to turn it off just to save some extra precious minutes of your existence.
Rarely do I get bored or annoyed by an action movie, just by the fact that it can occupy the brain pretty easily even if it’s really badly made, but Interceptor is going to make history, just by how legendary atrocious the whole thing is. This is one of the worst action movies I’ve seen in a long time, a complete mockery of the genre that is fulfilled of every…
