Papua-Neuguinea: Baumkängurus im roten Bereich
Covers the lengthy quest of an Australian couple to save the tenkile, an endangered tree kangaroo in Papua New Guinea. Cue the endless white-man-in-remote-community tropes, which can be quite wearing.
They introduced rabbits? Thought that was a bit odd, seeing as they'd run rampant in so many ecosystems. They explained that they looked into it and didn't think it'd be an issue. Then, we've heard that before.
Those minor gripes aside (and the rabbit thing actually turned out to be effective), the effect the couple had on the region and the population of the tenkile and other species previously thought extinct is inspiring.
