Great job turning this deeply idiosyncratic, sprawling story about collective trauma and history into Serious Beetlejuice.
Every scene in It Chapter 2:

*Scary music*
Suspense escalates
They reach for the door
*BIG SCARY MUSIC STING*
There's nothing there
"Oh, thank god, it's nothing. I'll just turn around now"
GROSS MONSTER RIGHT BEHIND THEM AHHHHH
bill hader you are my ride or die. my home skillet biscot you know what i mean? and let me tell you this.. if a bitch ever tries you bitch- if a bitch ever tries you LET ME KNOW and we will set this shit off. ugh alright bestie. you're my everything and have an amazing day bitch. i love you. LOVE YOU BITCH. i love you bitch
at nearly 3 hours, this movie is the second longest amount of time i’ve spent looking at a clown next to the cumulative time i’ve spent staring in a mirror
for a movie that jokes about stephen king having shitty endings and everyone criticizing the original for having a shitty ending they made a bold choice by making the entire thing shitty
“if you believe it does”
a lot like the first one in tone to a fault, the patterns growing a little old. it feels less impactful this time around. but still so well made and genuinely scary (also, i cried) so i can’t be too critical
supposed to be a horror movie but is really just a 3 hour gay soap opera starring bill hader
(update: i watched the movie and i can confirm this statement)
