"Finding the unknown"
✌🎼✌
Super sweet documentary that isn't really about aliens. It's more about a guy named John, who seems to be a really good dude. Growing up gay in rural northern Michigan can make for a lonely life for John. He wants friends, so he tries to talk to aliens. And he does it by playing them music. He likes music, so they will too, right?
That's all I'll say. There's more to it. I mean seriously, this dude's story is sweeter than sugar. Watch on Netflix
I wasn't expecting to end up shedding a tear watching an older gentleman regaling his life of searching for a connection, but these are interesting times we're living in.
You’re a crazy guy, John, but your music taste is out of this world... literally.
"So, a contact has been made."
Gosh, I latched onto this so quickly. Aliens, music of every genre, a lost soul looking for a connection - sounds like me when I was seventeen. That it was only 16 minutes long made me incredibly sad as it could've spent a good deal more time fleshing out this fascinating man. What we have here is just about perfect though. John Shepard was just looking for someone who understood him, the alien he felt like. Aren't we all... ✌️👽✌️👽
What an incredibly strange and unique Netflix original doc short that somehow doesn't feel at home at all on Netflix.
maybe the real alien contact was the love he found along the way... this was so godamn WHOLESOME
