Penis is not gonna fix me.
Crank🔋+ Shoot'Em Up🍼 + Atomic Blonde👠 + 🦺 = Jolt⚡
It's stupid, but it's fun, good-natured stupid. Good for Beckinsale, playing a younger woman! Cruise never plays men his age and no one bats the eye. Beckinsale looks amazing (obvious wig aside), clearly getting penis facials (it's not what you think it is, pervs! 😉) is working. I'll get there myself, but for now it's rigorous skincare routine and algae powder on my oatmeal. Whatever works, am I right, ladies? 💋 There's an appearance in this from another eternally "age is just a number" actress and it is always great to see her.
What the hell is happening with Bobby Cannavale career, though? He went from giving memorable performances in prestige films and TV series to thankless appearances in whack nonsense. I am watching him in Boardwalk Empire right now and I'm practically getting whiplash ova here!
Hanna meets Crank in this new wild ride through the underworld of crime starring the eternal young looking Kate Beckinsale as a woman who has a severe anger issue, and by severe I mean she can't control her temper.
I had no idea this film existed until recently when my good LB buddy Lee brought it to my attention. Despite his 3 stars killing some of the hype, I decided to give it a shot anyways, and man, what a blast!
Although the plot ends up being fairly derivative by the end, and besides the whole anger issue, it doesn't have anything particularly unique to offer in terms of the plot or the fight stunts. In spite of that, for…
“Most people don’t realize that lobster’s belong in the same biological phylum as cockroaches. They are both arthropods with segmented bodies, compound eyes, and jointed legs. Even their meat is the same. Lobsters must be boiled. Cockroaches poisoned. You’re an odd specimen. Not sure what phylum you belong in.”
“Me neither. That’s something my therapist and I are delving into.”
A pleasant surprise. Was a bit worried from the marketing, recent bombs on streaming platforms, & grating voice-over into / backstory to kick off the movie, but this turned out to be a ton of cortisol-fueled fun. Bad wig & distracting plastic surgeries aside, Beckinsale is 100% game: kicking ass, taking numbers, and making quippy rejoinders left and right. Stanley Tucci is…
Kate Beckinsale just needs a "Jolt",
But don't ask how many volts.
Hanging with Jai,
One heck of a guy,
Who knows when it's time to bolt.
Feel like Amazon studio is in competition with itself to create the worst movie of the year.
I mean who hasn’t ever secretly fantasized about punching anyone that even slightly annoys you? Sometimes you just need to use jumper cables on a man’s testicles to let some steam off.

A bouncer with a slightly murderous anger-management problem that she controls with the help of an electrode-lined vest she uses to shock herself back to normalcy whenever she gets homicidal. After the first guy she's ever fallen for is murdered, she goes on a revenge-fueled rampage to find the killer while the cops pursue her as their chief suspect.
Kate Beckinsale owns this role, as she delivers on one of the more impressively wild performances of the year. This is her version of Crank, and that is almost a dream scenario. Unfortunately, the writing can’t measure up to the effort put in from the remarkable cast. The film also has this…
This script is mostly hackwork and the final product needs a dose of grisly violence but I genuinely enjoyed Beckinsale's performance.
Exclusive Amazon Prime action film that was stylish but poorly made. Kate Beckinsale stars as Lindy, a bouncer who has a rare neurologic disorder that causes her to have uncontrollable violent tendencies, goes on a destructive revenge path to track down the people that killed someone who could have potentially been the love of life. Stanley Tucci was great but can only do so much with his role here. Beckinsale’s wig was distracting throughout the film. The action, tone, and pacing were inconsistent. Tons of poppy score was thrown in. The story was familiar but had potential, especially with someone like Beckinsale, unfortunately, it doesn't have substance.
