Was expecting this to be more 'Cast Away' or even 'The Green Inferno' than what it ended it being. Too much undercooked character drama combined with a plot that never quite gets off the ground makes 'Jungle' a huge misfire, but not without a solid effort on Daniel Radcliffe's part.
Even the movies look isn't right. There is a filter or something that makes everything look very fake. It's not a very immersive movie, not that it needs to be, it's just that I expected it to be.
Radcliffe is good, the accent wasn't very good, but the physical aspects of his performance were solid. The rest of the cast are hindered by bad writing and some extremely average acting.
All-in-all this just felt like a waste of talent. The cast can't get the movie off the ground and even a committed Radcliffe performance just isn't enough.
