"No toilet, no shower, but full power, 24 hour."
Is it weird if I think this is one of PTA's best films? It feels entirely off the cuff, rough and loaded with imperfections, but that's a big part of why it works. It captures the particular energy of that place and time, that specific artistic collaboration. And it wonderfully captures the musical rhythms of life, from the pigeons in the fort to the city streets at night.
I saw this at the Lightbox with Jonny Greenwood, Shye Ben Tzur, and the Rajasthan Express in attendance. Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Express performed a mini-concert afterwards. It gave me life, when I needed it the most (i.e. on a Wednesday, always the worst day of the week, but particularly awful this week). God bless the Lightbox for providing these unique experiences.
