This is the only “Klovn” related stuff that I hadn’t seen yet, so I figured I would watch it before the 8th season starts in a couple of days.
“Klovn” started as a series that is the Danish version of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and after a great run as one of the funniest Danish shows ever they made an equally great movie. They then paused for a couple of years before making a disappointing second movie followed by a mostly good 7th season, but with their 3rd and final movie they return to greatness.
The movie has a strong start with Frank turning 50 and his girlfriend Mia begins to doubt their relationship, which is hard on him but luckily…
Toned down and slightly lame end to the Klovn universe. Still enjoyably gross, cringey and immature, and laugh-out-loud funny in places, but it does look like they're running out of ideas when the ending is a re-working of the ending to the first film (I will still admit to finding the final image very funny).
The story is a bit all over the place and there's little continuity from the previous films - 5 years after Frank & Mia have a toddler and a baby, they now seem to have just a teenage son who's already left home.
Frank has turned 50 and Casper's present is a lads trip to Iceland, but they never get there and, for reasons too convoluted…
Frank coming downstairs with Mia's shitty underwear, even though he sees she is with company, is poor writing and not funny at all.
Frank's constant ignoring of his wife, then subsequent lying to show that he wasn't really ignoring her, is hard to support but the desperate attempts to regain some marital respect are very grating.
However, Casper's painful eye acting was sublime and the 'laundry label' move was gloriously ludicrous and perfectly aligned with Frank's constant mis-steps when aping his dangerous and selfish friend.
The subtitles that are available for this very recent film were hilariously awful, relying so heavily on the algorithm that they got 'skol!' wrong repeatedly and frequently reversed meanings of jokes which was bizarre.
The good news is that this totally disregards the catastrophe that was movie number two, Klovn Forever. More good news is that this is almost on par with the first one. Even more good news is that the first half of this is the best Klovn movie that has ever been!
The bad news is that this isn't the great finale we needed. It doesn't give us the satisfying send-off we needed to Denmark's greatest sitcom that started back in 2005. It falls apart in the second half, and it even succumbs to rehashing ideas from the first Klovn-movie. The plot threads and incidents feel overloaded - it's like two and a half movies squeezed into one. How about an…
I see a lot of 3’s but my quarantined ass found this to be on par with Frank & Christian’s cringers.
It feels like the same pace of the original and as another reviewer says, it totally deletes that stupid sequel.
Honestly it’s not a good movie but it’s not a bad movie either. I’m happy with my 4 stars because it’s absolutely the danish curbed series.

This one completely flew under the radar for me. And it doesn't seem like I'm the only one as this installment isn't even listed with the others on Wikipedia. Playing out in parts very similar to the first, starting with a party before the two go on a trip that is secretly a plan to visit a brothel, even introducing a new flirting trick from Casper. But then it suddenly takes a sharp turn at the airport and half the film is the two of them stuck in a house with a freezer full of spring rolls and each other as a small lie just keeps growing and growing in the traditional Klovn manner. Though again copying the first again…
For his 50th birthday Frank Hvam gets invited to spend some quality time (brothel tour!) in Iceland with his buddy Casper. After both get banned from the airport due to some 'accident' they decide to secretly spend their time in the house of friends who are gone for a few weeks...
I first got exposed to comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen after their first feature KLOVN and have been a huge fan ever since. Their TV show ranks among the funniest sitcoms I've ever seen focusing on ludicrous first world problems.
While their first movie preserved and at times even surpassed their comedic genius I wasn't a huge fan of KLOVN FOREVER, so I was pleased to see those…
Frank and Casper, how much joy and laughter they've given me through the years. Back in the aughts, when I came home drunk and hit the couch in the middle of the night, in the last days of linear TV, there was always an episode of Klovn on, and that always made me laugh until I rolled off the couch and passed out on the floor. Probably no one in my adult life has made me laugh more that Frank and Casper. And Frank's wife Mia. I love them.
And this film, as implied by the title, is the last of it. The last waltz. It's not a cinematic masterpiece or an epic coda that gives a whole new meaning…
Frank turns 50, and yet he is still as irresponsible as ever. Now his kids have a hard time speaking to him, and his relationship with Mia is on the verge of permanent disaster. Thankfully Casper has the perfect solution for all of this, including solving the issue with his own pregnant girlfriend (emphasis on girl here), and his in-house mother in law. The two of them, Frank and Casper should go on a fishing trip on Iceland! Well, fishing, and a surprise...
"But Tobias, that's only two and a half star! That's so low!"
"Why, yes little Konrad, it is two and a half stars, but it's not low - it's the absolute middle! Much as this film was."…
Falder sgu lidt igennem 😞
Mangler alt den charme, der normalt gør Klovn så underholdende
