"...whose soul is bent on heaven..."
I've had to watch this in installments, for it's much too much to take in with one sitting. Nearly 30 years bedridden and so alone! :'( Nobody warned me, but how could I have been prepared, really? Now Fini spends the rest of her life, reaching out and advocating, to keep others from such solitude.
The extremes of isolation are played out, case after case and I weep for the depth of their bleakness. The bright spot is watching the volunteers and the people themselves interacting, making a difference. As for those of us not in this situation, it doesn't take such extremes to feel disconnected, alone, apart... for the world can be a lonely place. The movie begs the questions, "Now what?" "How can I reach out, make contact?"
