For a couple years now, I've considered Edgar Wright to be my favorite director, thanks in no small part to the fact that the man just couldn't seem to miss. Every one of his prior films is absolutely excellent in their own wright, and I couldn't wait to see what he could do with a straight-up horror film for a change.
