This short nature documentary is narrated by a British man. Aren't they all? It's a pleasant hour, drifting through the band of ocean that is penetrated by the sun's rays, examining how the sun nourishes these lifeforms, and how the lifeforms interact with each other. While there were some pleasing images here, it didn't quite give me what I was looking for, what I found rewarding about the footage in my fresh screening of Into the Blue. The camera is omniscient and invisible. There is no sense of adventure, there is no wonder what is on the other side of that mound of coral. It turns out I am less interested in the ocean itself as I am interested in experiencing the ocean from a human POV.
