Unge Kvinner, 작은 아씨들
i cried in the bathroom afterwards. the ending isn’t sad, not at all, but it’s just so overwhelming that movies like this exist, where every element fits so perfectly that it feels like an act of witchcraft. and maybe i’m being dramatic and hyperbolic but fuck, there are few movies that make me feel like this.
“I want to be great, or nothing.”
seen this 4 times now. great is selling it short.
back to business as usual in January. sending warmth and well wishes to everyone out there in the meantime.
The big stupid grin I had on my face for basically the entire first half hour. I noticed it and was like “oh wow I should not be smiling this hard I look weird” and 5 seconds later went back to smiling. The love and care that is oozing out of this film gives it this dreamlike feeling that I haven’t felt since, well, Lady Bird. Overwhelmed really is the best word to describe my initial reaction when it ended because this thing gives you so much to love and hold on to. It makes me so glad that this thing exists and is a film I can eventually own on blu-ray and just watch whenever I need to! I…
Florence Pugh’s whole year has just been like:
- Braids
- American girl traveling in Europe
- Group dancing in flower crowns
- Crying
- Setting things on fire out of anger
The little women are great in this movie, but so are the little men. And the big women and the big men. Everyone is great. I love them and I care about them so much.
But mostly I can't stop thinking about the part where Florence Pugh squishes her nose.
Look all I know is if Timothee Chalamet asked me to marry him I would not fucking hesitate
greta gerwig: i will cast the march sisters perfectly and make them do intense research into their roles, they will embody their characters
also greta gerwig: fuck it, bob odenkirk as the dad
Period drama. After having loved “Ladybird”, I had high hopes for this, even though I’m usually not a fan on the genre. And that was kind of where I landed: enjoyed it, even though I couldn’t fully get into it. To be fair, I haven’t seen the other version and I’m sure I wouldn’t connect with the source material more than I did here. Pugh is the sneaky MVP here and continues here amazing streak here.
little women is indescribable. the joy it fills me with is remarkable and the characters and acting is immaculate
IT FEELS LIKE A WARM HUG
thinking about how beth will never be able to see jo getting successful and read jo’s book
did i see this movie two nights in a row in theatres? yes. Do I love it more every time I watch it? Yes. I honestly consider this movie one of the greatest cinematic experiences I have had. It feels good, it pulls at my heart, it makes me laugh. I love this movie so much. The performances are other worldly. Love this movie
