Chloe Sevigny usually makes some interesting choices. Kristen Stewart is capable. However, the directing is pretty bad, actually. I thought the film was stupid. I mean, you have the legend of Lizzie Borden. You'd think someone would be able to put an interesting spin on it. When I was watching it, I thought it was absolutely boring and making it would be great if Chloe & Kristen had a relationship. Well, there's an awkwardly filmed kissing scene that did not even elevate the film whatsoever.
I remember when Movie Pass limited their members to choose three films per month. This would have been my 4th pick for the month (and definitely would have seen if Movie Pass' policy had still been one film per day).
