Week 49. Queer and religion week! Pick a film that deals with spiritual and queer themes.
Basically you have three stories. One of a mother trying to find her child she gave up for adoption played by the lovely Bonnie Hunt, a guy on his own looking for some kind of love in his life, and an extremely religious couple who worry about their neighbors a little too much.
While I hesitate to really applaud its efforts as a queer film, I think it does rather well for a film about how Christians should be less narrow-minded, especially where family is concerned. I think really the film deals with what being a mother is…
