  LONG SHOT has literally everything I want in a movie: the plot of An American President, Charlize Theron on ecstasy, Seth Rogen being Jewish, Andy Serkis cosplaying as Rupert Murdoch, redemption for season 7 of Game of Thrones, Springsteen, Lil Yachty, Claudia O’Doherty… really terrific rom-com with some actual meat on its bones.

  Beste Romcom seit langer Zeit. Ein Wunder dass der Film kein weltweiter Hit ist. Superb geschrieben, sehr gutes „comedic timing“, keine Längen und vor allem keine Rohrkrepierer und Cringe-Momente. Charlize Theron war selten SO gut.

  WOW THIS MOVIE CAME OUT OF NOWHERE

  I honestly think it's easily top 2 or 3 I've seen this year. It's incredibly wholesome, uplifting and hilarious!!

  I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT! I was laughing for 2 hours straight and inbetween jokes I just had the biggest fucking smile on my face. This movie made me feel so much!

  I don’t think I’m going to have time to review this one. It has already mostly evaporated from my brain, except for the fact that Seth Rogen and O’Shea Jackson Jr. play best friends who went to college together and I spent most of the movie trying to figure out whether Seth Rogen was playing way younger than he is or O’Shea Jackson Jr. was playing way older than he is.

  For all the staggeringly lazy performative wokeness on display here it's worth noting that Rogen's character is still the dynamic one who ultimately gets the opportunity to accept or decline this relationship. I mean it's also incredibly dull and unfunny and nonsensical, but yeah mostly hypocritical.

  Weirdly centrist in a way I can't quite grasp - basically a movie about compromise relating back to both romance and politics? I guess? It's also a Seth Rogen movie so it has a montage where he and Charlize Theron get high and a couple scenes where he falls and should be dead but isn't. Fun but a mess.
