I’m probably in the minority for this opinion but honestly if your goal is photorealism in your animation style, and your setting and world shown is identical in complexity to things we’ve seen in live action sci-fi, WHY WOULD YOU BOTHER ANIMATING IT?! JUST SHOOT THE LIVE ACTION VERSION IF YOU’RE GONNA ANIMATE THE SAME DAMN GUNMETAL GREY SPACE MARINE HOLOGRAM SHIP NONSENSE WEVE SEEN IN THE LAST DECADE OF CRAPPY ALIEN MOVIES
ANYWAY, as for the story itself? I didn’t give a shit and the gross gratuitous sex scenes in this anthology are just giving me secondhand embarrassment for the the animators who spent months or years animating a photorealistic dudes ass thrusting rhythmically
The reveal can't hide the fact that this is just an excuse for a sex scene.
The song they doink to is so bad I laughed but honestly becoming a sex slave to a giant spider alien is like top three ideal outcomes for me.
some Matrix level shit here this time around, CGi here is insane like wow!! I honestly couldn’t believe it. It’s also super philosophical aswell, basically asking if the truth is something that we should really seek? Sometimes a beautiful lie is better then the ugly truth. There is also a lot to dissect aswell, like so much more. Would love to see this into a movie of sorts

Lovecraftian vagina spider just wants to be loved by CGI spaceman. It’s a bittersweet tragedy with top-notch animation and a good-ole fashioned sex montage.

Today: Love, Death & Robots: Beyond the Aquila Rift
Hi everybody, based on a short story by Alastair Reynolds this episode has an immensely chilling ending, a perfect visual execution, but admittedly nothing too original when it comes to the story.
What is the Aquila Rift, what is behind it, how was it created? Lots of questions (a few more that would spoil the ending) after one of the more average episodes in the series, but this is not because the questions are not answered, but rather because of the poor implementation. The plot is classical and one could even say "nothing special", as even a previous episode, LDR: The…
