Two salesmen get stuck in the desert, and discover that the desert is not what it seems at night.
"Fish Night" is a nice departure from the typical formula of this series. This short throws back to a more primordial, ethereal sensibility instead of the "tech gone wrong" trope. Two salesmen are stranded in the middle of a desert after their car breaks down. As nightfall arrives so does an otherworldly aquatic society. It's not explained if they're an ancient race or from a parallel world all that matters is that these fish float through the sky in a graceful manner illuminating the night sky with piercingly beautiful colours. However, like all living things there are the predators and prey which puts the two travellers in peril.
Whoever was in charge of the colouring in this short did an…
This is supposed to be thematic, right? There's a hidden message that we have to decipher, because what else is the purpose of this?

Today: Love, Death & Robots: Fish Night
Hi everybody, an interesting idea a metaphorically brilliant concept and definitely not as straight-forward and on the nose as the many other episodes in the series, yet nothing more than a nice short bringing you joy for the time being but not as memorable as for example LDR: Good Hunting or Zima Blue that stick with you for quite a while.
The setup and visuals are amazing and honestly we have been waiting for some quick time events during the 10 minutes run as this could have easily been a typical "Telltale" game regarding the optic and style. The question of the memory…
This episode is literally its characters just being amazed at the beautiful animation. Characters that aren't really characters, more of just robotic standins for the audience to gawk at how cool it looks. What is this some sort of metaphor?
Fittingly the only one of these that uses realistic style animation properly to actually do something impossible that you couldn’t recreate in real life. This is unfortunately also an unfinished story. It’s exactly like the first ten minutes of a much better movie.

"Nights like this it gets me wonderin'. If the ghosts of people can haunt a house, well, why can't the ghosts of creatures haunt where they once lived?"
Two traveling salesman find themselves in a bind when their Plymouth station wagon breaks down on a desert road in the middle of nowhere. Stranded, they decide to sleep for the night and head off on foot in the morning. Before going to bed the older salesman speaks about how this desert was once an ocean floor and he wonders, if people can haunt a house, why can't the sea creatures haunt their old home?

Appears as if it was nothing more than a finger exercise for the graphic artists - pointless but beautiful.
I wanna buy what (drugs) these two salesmen are selling.
