Emmanuel Lubezki's cinematography is by far the stand out of Sólo Con Tu Pareja. With the fast camera moves and disorientating shots, Lubezki creates a panicked and hurried tone for the film, one that never leaves the audience in a state of calmness and comfort. The camerawork has a quality of freshness and liveliness, something that the film benefited from greatly.
The color design was quite good too. The overwhelming and impregnable nature of green sets a discomforting mood of failure and inescapable trouble, which matched the film excellently.
But besides these two aspects, nothing else really makes Sólo Con Tu Pareja remarkably good or special. It is an entertaining film for the most part, and it is sufficiently written up until the last act of the film, where it starts to fall off a bit. But regardless, Sólo Con Tu Pareja was a fun film.
