  Lucy's Tale
  Die Idee ist okay aber bestimmt nicht neu, technisch und schauspielerisch (auf jeden Fall Lucy) richtig ordentlich, wenig Spannung, kein Horror.
  Zu viele Highschool-Klischees lassen diesen kurzen, aber nicht kurzweiligen Bullying-Revenge-Flick mit CoA- und Horror-Elementen zu ereignislos vorbeiziehen.

  Ihr Name ist Lucy (ob das wohl eine Kurzform ist 🤔), sie wird gemobbt, die Beziehung zu ihrer Mutter war auch schon mal besser, wir sehen Ausschnitte von De Palmas Carrie, sie entwickelt besondere "Fähigkeiten" und andere Auswüchse, 'No Happy End' Teen-Sex, Ende.

  Starts Carrie, dives into dysmorphia then tragic teen hookup.

  A bullied girl grows a tail which penalizes those who hurt her.

  Weird & not scary. Well-made but the story feels incomplete.

  Watched at the 2019 Etheria Film Night in LA. All the films were excellent, but this was my favorite because although it has the obvious representation of the external to the internal (as most of the films did), it still wasn't too in your face about it, and also this didn't rely on references to other works. The lead character was very well developed for a short film. And the tension was top notch. If they ever make a feature film based on this I would definitely watch it.

  17. ALTER short

  I more or less enjoyed that but it felt less like a complete short and more like a proof of concept. I'm interested to see the feature film based on this because it felt like just as things were really starting to shape up and we were starting to get a sense of what Lucy is it was over. The idea probably isn't super original. Teen girl feels insecure and different but.. you know... for a spooky reason. But its decently executed and did feel like it was kind of going somewhere interesting. But then it was over.

  Which was a little disappointing.

  But I did learn that a tail is not a dealbreaker for me. So that's different.
