Grace and Tony are from two separate families who are in the business of decorating homes for Christmas. Unfortunately they have also been in feud for as long as anyone can remember. But this holiday season they must try to find a way to get everyone to work together in order to win a town competition that could save their livelihoods.
All Is Bright
Went to a Christmas dinner and this was on in the background. There was lobster but no shell crackers and I made THE BIGGEST FUCKING MESS. I'm an Irish at a Portuguese dinner, I don't do lobster like them.
What I really want is a movie about the moms and their secret friendship through the years
I was editing a short story for class, I wasn't playing attention, but I can confidently tell you two things:
1. The lead actors were very pretty
2. One of the lights displays just looked like the police and paramedics were driving by
i'd estimate i paid attention to about 25% of this and still managed to get the entire plot and character beats.
hilariously, aggressively boring with the lowest stakes imaginable given that we're supposed to view it as a romeo and juliet type family feud.
I knitted through this entire thing, and I just started knitting a little while ago so I can't exactly knit without looking. But I really didn't have to either.
I mean I guess it was fine, but basically nothing happened.
The newcomers with the "fancy light" that everyone seemed to love... an absolute nightmare. Emergency sirens meets a rave. Who would want that on their house let alone in the neighbourhood? And with the winner being in charge of the municipality buildings next year... how could they ever be excited about those guys? Also 100% unsafe for anyone with epilepsy.
I thought the leads would then make something classy and beautiful to counter... but it was still blinking lights and…
Let’s be real, this movie’s secondary romance was the dads. Not mad about it.
Also not mad about the unexpectedly sexy lip bite mid-kiss. The closing kisses are usually less horny…
Anyway the plot itself was fine but there was more time spent on light design than the leads falling for one another.
Christmas house decorating competition, for professional Christmas house decorators.
I have a suspicion that Hallmark didn't hire professional decorators as consultants, as all the decoration displayed in this film is not only amateur looking, but cheap, outdated, and somewhat ghastly. It doesn't help the cinematography in this film is bellow average quality too. The whole crutch of the film is that the rivalling decorators are suppose to be good at what they do, but they would be lucky if the decorations were at best unmemorable.
Most reviews I have read, good or bad, all claim to be doing something else while watching this. I was not that forthcoming and watched it straight on.

I’m from Virginia and would very much like to know where this town is located. So much Christmas spirit that there are at least 5 holiday decorating companies competing for the bid to decorate the city buildings??
when i tell you i could not keep the characters straight in this movie. who was who??? who was mad at who?? who was in love with who???? bitch, i do not know.
Making Spirits Bright- this is pretty basic but sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for an old-fashioned Hallmark movie. The leads had good chemistry and the banter was well done. I enjoyed it
If the prequel about the fathers isn’t called “Making Spirits Dark”, what’s the point?
