The documentary regarding the work of Don McCullin, one of the finest photojournalists of the last 50 years, is fascinating, absorbing stuff that concerns itself with the dichotomy inherent in McCullin and his work; the dichotomy of an horrific act captured in a beautifully composed in the moment photograph, the dichotomy of the freedom of expression seen via such photography taken when freedom has broken down or is on the line, the dichotomy of the morality McCullin faced - to help or to document, the dichotomy of his addiction to his job yet also his objection for what it entails, it's all there. There are no answers though, just plenty to think over as the matter of fact, unassuming McCullin presents the truth, as he has always set out to do.
