Camila Marrone plays Mickey, an 18 year-old who is torn between being there for her widowed father and moving on with her life. Her father is a brute suffering PTSD from Iraq; her boyfriend is totally wrong for her and treats her horribly.
I felt Mickey’s pain, which made for a deep and emotional experience. One particular plot point didn’t add up, however: the scholarship money being deposited in a bank account.

-Mickey goes bear hunting with her dad and love interest.
