A thriller with some really effective scenes, an excellent central performance by Daniela Ramírez and one hell of a gut punch ending. Unfortunately its brought down somewhat by some pretty major flaws in logic. It also drags out is mystery a little to much that we end up dealing with some repetitive scenes. But I think this is still worth a watch and its currently on Netflix. 3/5 stars.
Really solid thriller with echoes of Rosemary's Baby and Inside.

It scared the dog.
The performances are terrific. The story not so much. It becomes ridiculous fast when the new nanny cures her charge of autism and everyone, including the doctors, reacts as though that is even a possibility. I was hoping this was going somewhere interesting but the horror is very xenophobic. The villain is never explored and is simply evil because she's foreign so naturally she must be into the dark arts.
Recommendation: The best part of the movie is the suspense and paranoia the mother experiences combined with her excellent performance. Though you get all of the talent without the ableism and xenophobia in Rosemary's Baby (1968) so you might as well watch that instead.
god, what an awful fucking mother. you've got a kid with autism that you don't want to take care of so you hire a nanny to mistreat as well? what a bitch. this movie is also really offensive toward filipinos and people with autism. such a disaster.

la municipalidad de las condes y la dehesa debería repartir copias en bluray de esta película a todas las casas de familia en esas comunas para influenciar psicoterror en los cuicos y así dejen de deshumanizar “nanas” y empiecen a criar a sus propios hijos acabando con la cadena de shitty people that didn’t get parental affection as kids. qué más terrorífico para una madre blanca de barrio alto que una persona extranjera te diga la verdad en tu cara, la parte de que secuestren a tu hijo no es para tanto
In the year 2016 the Honda Motor Company produced a pretty overtly racist horror movie about an evil Filipino witch that cures autism with black magic. Somehow it's phenomenally boring.

Good concept, but the ending was very much rushed! It is left abruptly for viewer's interpretation!
At some points in the movie, the scenes feel repetitive and of same concept. Even some of the storyline is not clearly explained! But overall, the portrayal of the characters were good!
