Mr.Moto foils a plot by an unnamed nation (It's Germany, c'mon, we all know it's Germany) to sabotage a naval exercise to drive a wedge between the British and the French in this pre-WWII B-movie thriller. As B-Movies go, this is s pretty decent one. Peter Lorre is great, still a little creepy, even as a good guy,but still a bit creepy. The yellow-face aspect is a bit crin- inducing, but it was 1939, so whadda ya do? Pretty good acting all around, Carradine seemed a bit out of place, but does well and E.E. Clive plays the most English of all English Generals ever (very much reminded me of The Major from Fawlty Towers). It was an entertaining film, can't really ask for much more.
