Syfy version of It albeit one that's surprisingly very solid and even better than it's any right to be, starring an Olsen twin lookalike and grown up Alessa Gillespie versus a black matter shaped monster who can take the form of an individual's fear to consume them. I've been enjoying the trend of Syfy exploring more original creature concepts, rather than trying to be more outrageous with their animal movies. The movies themselves may not always be grandslams, but I've been digging the monsters themselves and the concepts around them, and they're usually polished enough to be fluffy fun. The one thing they really need to figure out is how to make that second act engaging but that's usually where I end up getting distracted and checking other things before the third act.

Pretty good for Halloween horror. Does what it's supposed to do in a formulaic way but satisfying enough. The Silent Hill girl is in it, does a decent job. If you're looking for random holiday horror this fits the bill.
