This film was beautifully dark and disturbed making it a fantastic thriller.
The first sequence of the book (the scene with the road rage etc) was so intense. I was really drawn in by this scene and actually wanted to stick with this aspect of the story rather than break that by going back to Susan.
An incredible cast really made this. Laura Linney only had the shortest scene but I thought she was great. Adams captures Insomnia well but it was Taylor-Johnson who was so disturbing and calculated.
I did want a bit more of a punch from the ending but it still has me thinking the next morning about it - so clearly the sign of a good film.
Pleasantly surprised with this one. I love how cold the whole film felt - especially the starkness of Susan’s House and workplace.
