Emmanuelle Bercot invites you to tag along on a road trip with legendary actress Catherine Deneuve, who oddly enough has still not developed a personality over all these years. She's just a shy person shoved into a film, her not wanting to be there is always palpable.
Cinematographer Guillaume Schiffman tries his hardest to keep the mundane activities fresh and interesting aesthetically speaking and for the most part he succeeds, that is until the half-way point when his distinctive shooting style seems to disappear completely. Leaving you with the aforementioned non-personality entity that is Deneuve, having tepid arguments with family members that are dropped with no resolution or impactful statements or anything else of interest worth mentioning.
Deneuve's character finally finds solace in the arms of a man that doesn't much like her in any sense making everything in her falling apart life whole again. What? Uhhhwhat?
Hurray for tedious vapidity!
