i wish i could make this up but they gave the kids promotional whoopee cushions and throughout the screening there were just fart noises scattered across the theater

Youngest son had his birthday party a little early since he’s gonna be out of town on his actual birthday. He had 4 boys sleepover and we all went and saw Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank at the local cinema. The nice thing about summer birthdays is we’re not limited to weekends for sleepovers, so this was a nice little Monday sleepover. As for this movie…..it has no business playing on the big screen. It has a five star voice cast that is completely wasted on a utterly blah story.
I can normally muster at least a 2 star rating when my kids at least enjoy the movie (which these boys very much did) BUT I fell asleep…

Yes, this is pretty much Blazing Saddles with cats and dogs set in a samurai movie rather than a Western. Yes, the animation looks kinda weird, particularly the way how the characters move. Yes, the humor is plagued with dumb references to pop culture, cat and dog puns and movies. Yes, I am also confused on why they had Gangnam Style on a 2022 movie. Yes, everyone seems to be working on autopilot and most of these actor's voices doesn't seem to fit the characters. But I'll be damned if I said I didn't have a good time, especially with the humor in here. In a way the humor reminded me of the sequel to the Angry Bird Movie, which…
