Piper: Descobrindo o Mundo, 派珀历险记, 鹬, Pixar - Piper
The day Pixar abandons these delightful little shorts is the day society collapses. Rioting in the streets, buildings aflame and absolute destruction...I'll be huddled in my basement watching Piper.
yes the rumors are true, this is the animated short that managed to cure all my mental illnesses

So charming, detailed, and beautifully conceived that the slight narrative and typical end point is more annoying than usual. Can't wait to see what Pixar has in store when it comes to this mix of naturalism and fantasy.
The naturalism of the imagery is astounding. So much so that I didn't really need the anthropomorphism and "story." Without that, this could have been a new sort of genre: an entirely imagined nature documentary.

@pangmeli: angela bassett's voice reminds me of the first time I stood in the ocean after growing up only around lakes. the tide sucked at my ankles so hard I had to strain to stay standing. I remember thinking oh shit, this is an order of magnitude more powerful than what I'm prepared for
Lots of loud, manic trailers - and then there was this. My 7-year old turned to me and said, "I want to see that movie."
