I don’t know if it’s depressing or amazing that there’s an entire cinematic universe devoted to underaged women going on road trips to seek contraception for their unplanned pregnancies.
Ugh, so sweet! Teen comedies are always a very hard sell for me but the third act blindsided me multiple times in such a warm and wonderful way. Almost cried at one scene near the end. :) A great piece of dumb guy cinema too, in that there are a lot of dumb characters that get hilarious little asides that prompted a full-belly laugh from me in the theater. Good shit!!!!!
My friend Natalie directed the hell out of this movie and my other friend Moses made me guffaw several times in the funniest scene of the movie. Very proud of these people, and I congratulate myself for knowing them. :) That's right, this is about me now!
i feel like “disney+ and thrust” is the funniest phrase ever because who the hell is getting it on to mickey mouse clubhouse
every boy named hunter I’ve ever met has been a straight up asshole, but the hunter in this movie is so adorable that he almost makes up for it.
idc if girl duo movies feel formulated at this point, they’re the best genre and they keep me going.
kuhoo verma and victoria moroles are a coming-of-age duo i never knew i needed. comparisons with unpregnant and booksmart are obvious here but this goes in all sorts of insane and fascinating directions. it’s far from perfect but i won’t lie i had a really great time with this
Another gay-straight friendship trope that I enjoy. It makes me wanna have a chaotic road trip with a chaotic best friend. Also, Hunter! I love him.
Just wish we’d stop making brown and Black girls chase dull white boys in teen films but..
