Marc, a successful, ambitious man, is diagnosed with terminal cancer, and is given a few months to live. Unable to accept death, he decides to cryogenically freeze himself. If you want two hours of straight voice over and exposition, here you go. But don’t worry, the acting’s bad too.
I had a tough time with this film. I can appreciate that it is very well made, but I could not engage with it.
An artist is re-animated many years after his death as per his wishes. He then has to come to grips with a world he does not recognise.
This is a film I think i will return to as it's premise is interesting, but I could not get into it. It follows some elements of Frankenstein, but the world's seeming apathy towards the re-animation takes away the jeopardy that Frankenstein's Monster always carries with it. This needed villagers with flaming torches to bring some conflict to the tale.

A kind of decision making film. Do I wish to be frozen and then reanimated at a later date. Quite a contreversial topic for a film. Scary in the concept of the process which is shown here in some detail. A lot of questions one should ask before contemplating the idea, is it the right decision/ the correct moral thing to do.
A sink hole of time you'll never get back. It starts with the title Realive which is a horrible, horrible name for a movie and goes down hill from there. The alternative title "The Lazarus Project" is more descriptive and appropriate.
Realive takes the entire movie to communicate that life without death is meaningless. Duh! And to which, what our protagonist decides to do in the third act, even when he has so much to look forward to -- seems forced. As if the writer couldn't figure out a better way to end the movie.
Realive also commits, over and over again, the sin of telling the audience what they should feel, and what they should understand. Telling versus showing.…

A movie with a great, fascinating idea that I'd love to see explored in depth in an interesting narrative, that completely misses the mark because of a bunch of flashback footage.
Seriously, it felt like during the production they filmed too much flashback footage, and then had to actually use it all to pad out the movie. There's a flashback montage every five minutes, it really felt like that. And the terrible kind too. A perfect, TV commercial kind of flashback footage.

The movie is visually really well done, but gosh darn it the only thing this movie ever talks about is "life and death" which I get it what it was trying to go for. The concept was very interesting however the extremely mediocre acting and writing seriously didn't help this movie all and it really comes off as pretentious. If this movie was done a better this could have actually been pretty good. Plus it doesn't help that it's an overall bland Sci-Fi movie...

You get better and more considered commentary on illness, again and prolonged life in a fraction of a Doctor Who episode than you do in any part of this tired lumpy film.
