The Rock must have some sort of clause in his contract that says he has to end up in the jungle at some point in every movie
they spent $200m assembling the most cursed trio of famous people imaginable, who couldn't have less chemistry if they tried, and then let them all explain the heist plot at each other and improv their shticks for 2 hours in front of a camera and called it a movie. an "original" movie that is somehow still a generic white noise amalgamation of pretty much every current shitty action-comedy franchise blockbuster trend. just in case you didn't get what it was going for ryan reynolds literally whistles the indiana jones theme.
It’s about drive. It’s about power. We stay hungry. We devour. Put in the work. Put in the hours. And take what’s ours.
I'm not even joking when I say this movie is an existential crisis for Hollywood and everyone involved in making it.

Fell asleep 15 minutes in. The first thing I saw when I woke up was The Rock in a jungle. I didn't even question why he was there cause of course.
Watched RED NOTICE on a plane. Great plane movie. No regrets.
My review: DEADPOOL is the best thing to happen to Ryan Reynolds’ career & the worst thing to happen to him artistically/creatively. Dude was doing way more interesting roles before. Now we are stuck with this insufferable persona forever. There will never be an escape from this.
Historically speaking, “Red Notice” should be unwatchable. For starters, Netflix’s previous fall blockbusters (e.g. “Bright,” “6 Underground”) have been very bad. Not just bad in the way that movies are bad, but bad in the way that war crimes are bad — they shouldn’t have been reviewed by critics so much as tried at the Hague. These are films so bad that Joe Rogan should have spent an episode of his podcast spreading batshit conspiracy theories about how they escaped from the Netflix content labs. These are films so bad that you half expect to see Forrest Gump stumbling through their crowd shots as part of his accidental journey through America’s defining crises.
But at least they were directed by…
While shooting Red Notice, Dwayne Johnson hyped the film on his Instagram account by calling it “the largest investment Netflix has made thus far in a film.” True to his word, the finished product looks like it cost a fortune, with Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot — three A-list stars who command A-list salaries — hopping around the globe as they search for a trio of ancient artifacts amidst an endless series of elaborate action sequences. There are foot chases, prison escapes, and jeep pursuits through surprisingly long underground tunnels. If you want fist fights, helicopters, gunplay, and explosions, Red Notice delivers all of that stuff as well.
Sadly, though, Red Notice also provides extensive evidence that in movies,…
