100 stars for when Mattie tells the librarian that he loves her. All librarians deserve love — especially when they’re holding Step Up Revolution and House Party 2 for you.
This is a sweetly chaotic film about filmmaking (including the film it’s about), that is really about brohood and brotherhood, the kindness of close neighbours and distant film legends alike, and the collective joy of an infectious idea, no matter how schlocky.
I'm not sure what to make of this film. It had no right to come out of nowhere and hit me like a ton of bricks...
But it sure as hell did!
This just got released! If you love horror movies, filmmaking and moving documentaries, do check it out. Quite wonderful.
Interesting project, appreciate how most of the crew centered themselves on trying to realize the vision of these two filmmakers.
This film holds a special place in my heart. Love this entire group of people. Congrats Sam & Mattie!

An incredibly sweet and life-affirming doc about two pals wanting to share their vision with the world.
Their vision being that the devil constantly urinates in and on things.
My 30 year old son has Down Syndrome, so when I heard about Sam and Mattie, I knew I would support everything they ever do. It just so happens they made a horror film, which makes me a happy Tippor. Now, I just need to locate a copy of it.
I bought this documentary on Apple TV and it was fantastic. Sam and Mattie are very talented young men and have dedicated fans in my house! I hope they make more horror movies.

Without a doubt the most heartwarming movie you’ll ever see in which the devil pisses on the entrails of a freshly disemboweled mother of a newborn.
Paul Thomas Anderson once said, “Every movie that gets made is a miracle”. I love the fact that these two childhood friends can now call themselves filmmakers. Although the final product certainly didn´t capture my interest, the story behind it is a true inspiration for every aspiring filmmaker.
“Sam & Mattie Make A Zombie Movie” is about two best friends with down syndrome whose dream it always was to make a movie, as they are ultimate filmlovers themselves. The documentary presents the making of their film called “Spring Break Zombie Massacre” and at the end, the 40-minutes-long product is shown as well.
