Undoubtedly, the best Indian TV series. A fantastic fable of greed, power and competition. Hansal Mehta treats it like a procedural, he draws back the curtain and shows us how things happen. All episodes are well-researched and written and acted - amazingly enough - both engaging and entertaining. Even if you don't understand most of the corporate & financial jargon, the writing and the drama is so compelling, it sucks you in.
It has the best sensemble cast since GANGS OF WASSEYPUR, not just in terms of assembled talent, but in terms of character. Pratik Gandhi gives one of my favorite performances of this year, he lives it up like the boss & swaggers into a staggering performance.
Scam 1992 has the potential to become my most admired Hindi web series, along with Made in Heaven, and surprisingly so. I'm happy with the buzz for the first time. The buzz is for all the right reasons and it has ignited a fellowship. People are watching an investigative political drama/thriller on a relatively unpopular streaming platform. People are praising an acting performance that is actually great and deserves every bit of praise. People are talking about a soundscape that is well designed. For the first time in my memory, people are talking big about something that is bigger in reality, considering my socioeconomic environment that determines the audience around me.

Somehow few days ago itz felt like I'm the only one in my locality remaining who still hadn't watched SCAM 1992. From friends' discussions to social media memes there are everywhere different references of SCAM. So I have watched it...and I completed it asap. It has 10 episodes..each episode has an approximate runtime of 55 mins. Honestly never ever has seen such detailed, thoroughly researched analysis of anything in a film or webseries specifically in Bollywood or India it's too rare that filmmaker offers something which actually impresses you in that extent. Scam 1992 is a terrific financial thriller and easily one of the best Hindi web series I’ve watched. It’s based on Debashish Basu's book ‘The Scam: Who Won, Who Lost, Who Got Away’. The detailed writing, compelling storytelling and terrific performance from Pratik Gandhi as Harshad Mehta ‘ Big Bull of Indian Dalal’ engage you throughout. Shreya Dhanwanthary as Sucheta Dalal was very impressive too. Dialogues were well written and many were quote worthy. Background score was apt and special mention needs to go to the intro BGM.
"Scam 1992 - The Harshad Mehta Story" is a riveting tale of success & failure in a subsequent manner. Albiet a bit stretched and emotionally shallow at places; the overall implementation certainly raised the bar regarding OTT platforms and their ever growing catalogue of contents.

Even though there is plenty of technical jargon,the brisk storytelling and stunning performances(Pratik Gandhi is a force of nature and I hope he does not join Hindi films to do inconsequential roles!) makes this a compelling and essential watch and should not be missed at any cost.As of now it joins the ranks of Sacred Games Season 1,Delhi Crime and Paatal Lok.
What a ride this was.Terrific indeed. Deserves all the praises it is receiving and much more recognition.
Undoubtedly beats Sacred Games for me as the best Indian show till date.
Dialogues do be the cringiest part of this whole early 90s inspired webseries or whatever this is.

Scam 1992 - The Harshad Mehta Story is the quality Indian Web Television the people of this country deserve.
