So, I am mainly surprised that this great portrait of a woman was under the radar as it was released earlier this year. I didn't hear a lot of people talking about it. Now, for awards season, it's making a comeback. I'm glad, as this is a documentary that is able to empower young women and really, anyone.
Allred as a lawyer has represented people who have faced sexual harassment, among other things. The documentary also relates her personal history, showing how the events in her life formed the woman she is today. Not everyone is pro-Gloria, but she remains an advocate for women, as well as people of color and members of the LGBT community.
