Reveals the history of camerawomen around the world, celebrating not only the survival of pioneer women in a male-dominated field, but a new generation of camerawomen's visions.
The content of this is really good, and hopefully nearly 15 years later the industry has changed a big- I know it still isn't equal, but it seems like things have gotten better in terms of women on camera crews. Definitely worth a watch though, in terms of just hearing about the difficulties of women working as cinematographers and in the camera dept., but also because it's too easy for younger people at any point in time to think things are worse than they were in the past, so much of our history is rewritten by people in power, not relegated to republican or democrat, conservative or liberal, but everyone- the past is weaponized and history is rewritten to serve…
