Only suffers a tad in comparison because you're expecting -- demanding, really -- that this go as nuts as BEYOND. But it's not its fault that you see it coming. Anyway don't worry, this is just as chock-full of narrative whiplash, scrappy DIY visual ambition, weird barely-makes-sense alien stuff, and guys in giant rubber suits doing karate kicks. A pure, unpretentious delight from start to finish, and not only does this have blooper credits, but there's a part where a space monster wears pants.
How this series has endured with pure ambition and a genuinely nerdy heart is BEYOND me (zing!) and this third Grillo-free (kinda) installment may be one of the biggest B-movies I’ve seen in a while.

Skylines kicks a lot of ass! The action is crazy fun. You have a lot of shooting and martial arts mixed in. Everyone looks like they know what they are doing.
My MVP is Daniel Bernhardt. He is such an underrated action star. He plays a badass Space Marine or something close to that.
The original Skyline was the butt of a lot of jokes. It was laughably awful. The improvement of the series is almost unexplainable.
If you enjoyed Beyond Skyline, I can pretty much guarantee you will enjoy this one too.
Gleefully dorky in a way the truly facemelting BEYOND SKYLINE was not while never forgetting the fact that all we really want is two dudes in bulky alien suits engaging in elaborately choreographed kung fu against one another. Plus, Yayan Ruhian literally throat rips one beast MacGruber style by the end. You don’t get cheap thrills this fantastically ambitious too often; VOD sons and daughters of Jim Cameron’s ‘90s analog spirit that’re augmented by DIY CGI. So, drink in all the neon tomfoolery that’s packed into these breakneck two hours.

The 3rd installment of Skyline changes up the feeling tonally a little with some added comedy and an entirely different adventure .. the action is a lot of fun, Lindsay Morgan kicks ass, the colorful world building and effects are eye candy popping and Rhona Mitra turns from doctor to leather clad warrior in record breaking time to also kick some arse... I’ve seen Daniel Bernhardt as a tough guy without many lines in a few previous films and uh sorry Daniel but I can see why your typically cast for lesser speaking roles..…
I made this movie and feel it is 3.5 stars but I like to give myself an extra ice cream scoop on my birthday and an extra 1.5 stars on my movies.
This is the 3rd installment of the franchise Skyline and hopeful the last. For a low budget movie, it's filled with lots of action but that's about it. The special effects are as good as made for TV movies, the story is below average and the acting could have been better. Worth watching on a rainy day.
Beyond Skyline was arguably one of the most impressive franchise comebacks in recent memory; that we’re talking about a third film, that this franchise even exists at all, is due to its joyously bonkers dumb-fun ambitions.
Following up such an unexpectedly great sequel would be no easy task. Three years later, without the element of out-of-nowhere surprise and without many of those bigger stars, can Skyline 3 (aka Skylines, or Skylin3s if you’re cool) capture lightning in its bio-mechanical bottle again?

If you're not going to let them do original projects, give these guys DOOM or HALO or POWER RANGERS or something.
Skylines ist der traurige Abschluss der 2010 begonnenen Sci-Fi Trilogie. Kann man dem ersten Teil auch aus heutiger Sicht noch gute Effekte bescheinigen und der zweite, für mich beste Teil, wusste als Actionfilm kurzweilig zu unterhalten, so ist der dritte Teil in allen Belangen leider der schlechteste Teil der Reihe.
Die Story war sicher noch nie die große Stärke dieser Reihe aber sie funktionierte trotz Logiklöcher dann doch recht passabel. Hier wird's aber stellenweise wirklich wüst, was das Storytelling angeht. Von der Schauspielerriege des Vorgängers ist leider auch kaum mehr jemand dabei. Ein Frank Grillo z. B. hätte diesem Film sicherlich sehr gut getan. Leider funktioniert hier auch die Action nicht. Selbst die Effekte, die in den Vorgängern für ähnlich…
I've enjoyed the first 2 films in the Skyline canon and this one was no different. A very entertaining sci fi action creature feature imo. Gave me old school vibes. Kinda long but there was enough shoot em up space alien action to keep my attention. Lindsey Morgan was great as the badass human/alien hybrid heroine, loved her in CW Network's The 100! She just makes kicking ass look good. There was some nice martial arts fight choreography mixed in too.
