  I love these ridiculous sequels so much! Angela out here avenging every impure act teenagers have ever committed which means basically she’s out to kill every teenager alive, at least based on my own experience as a teenager, like for real I was a hot debauched mess.

  You gotta love the ladies in Sleepaway Camp III. There's a young lady dressing in front of the mirror, and she has a milkshake tattoo. (That's absolutely hilarious!) I want a milkshake tattoo, too! Also, there's the Asian hottie from Night of the Demons. (Remember the girl who shagged on the coffin?) How many people have sex on coffins?   I guess it was always unrealistic to expect Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland to solve Amerikkka's gaping wealth inequality and painful racial divides, especially in 1988/9, where people were doing an especially poor job of pretending that everything was cool because spoiler things were definitely not cool and they would remain not cool, sometimes people would do a better job at pretending/ignoring/suppressing and Angela is really invested in everyone getting along so when they don't/can't she is really upset and ends up killing everyone as much as possible which if you are a people person and really need to be around people because you hate being lonely and after awhile listening to yourself think is kind of driving you crazy…

  Having just watched this, I feel like one day I may need to revisit Sleepaway Camp II and adjust my rating for it. After being so turned off by the sequel, it took me about a week to watch this one. I believe I was able to enjoy the third installment better after I convinced myself that the sequels aren't canon. I think the reason this helped is because I grew up with the Angela who was extremely introverted, mute to most strangers, and ruthlessly bullied. It's why I related to her so much as a kid and why I felt they tarnished her character by making her feel like a completely different person.

  Socio-political critique in the guise of a fierce comdemnation of sexual predators in the guise of a meta commentary on the sequel riddled horror industry in the guise of a no holds barred subversive attack on the over use of gratuitous nudity in the guise of a morality tale on the dangers of doing drugs and playing with firecrackers in the guise of an unbelievably uninspired and lazy slasher with no interesting plot/kills/characters/humour/gore whatsoever.

  After loving Sleepaway Camp so much I really did not expect to love parts Two and Three, but here we are.

  Beneath all the heavy metal scuzz, inventive kills, one-liners and teenage slaughter, I see Sleepaway Camp III as a trans hope masterpiece. Maybe I’m wrong in that, maybe I’m reading too deeply into a trashy b-movie. But any question of Angela’s gender identity isn’t even brought up in this entry. No one misgenders or deadnames her. It’s just an accepted fact. And if a bunch of characters who are simply slasher fodder can accept that. Then so can you. 🏳️‍⚧️

  In the first five minutes we have:

  1)A girl that shows her boobs with the tattoo "milk shake" written above them
  2)A brazen daytime garbage truck chase/murder scene that comes out of friggin nowhere
  3)An Agent Orange song!
  4)The title sequence gets splashed with blood just as some 80s metal kicks in! Hells yeah! That's how you start a dang movie!

  Continuing on where Sleepaway Camp 2 left off this sequel is another installment of trashy mean spirited debauchery. Pamela Springsteen returns amongst a cast of top notch 80s slasher characters. One by one they are killed off in a display of gory kills and low budget practical FX.

  First time watch for this movie and have to say it is a campy good time with Pam Springsteen back as Angela with the harsh kills and laughable smart remarks makes this threequel almost as fun and entertaining as its 2 before it.
