  You know a film is going to make you lose your marbles when you can’t even understand what the f—k Brad Pitt is saying, that the subtitles gave up and said speaking indistinctly. Snatch is another Guy Ritchie thriller crime flick about the adventure of an 84 karat diamond, intertwining multiple men of diverse nationalities and backgrounds into a 104-min chaos of a film. The pacing and the screenplay is its key features, showcasing how brilliant of a director and a writer Guy Ritchie is when it comes to this genre. Topped with a striking cast and characters, Mickey O’Neil being my favorite, and you have an engaging film, capturing your attention for the entirety of its runtime. If you love crime flicks full of profanities, violence, and unnecessary pig trivia then this once’s for you.

  I am not a fan of Ritchie's hyper stylised way of film making. It is often crammed with unnecessary visual static that feels like him constantly trying to make us aware of how cool and talented he is.

  And yet this film kicks all kinds of ass. The plot is all over the place and almost seems like a connected string of hilarious and action packed sketches. Where Ritchie fails to find any real coherence and only manages to provide us with the incidental bit of genius visual creativity, it is the cast that pulls through.
