On the eve of his wedding, a successful writer travels around the country to meet up with ex-lovers in an attempt to make amends for his wrongdoings.
A movie based on a play. Adam Brody plays a successful writer who is about to get married...but before he does he wants to talk to former lovers that he left in his wake. So we get to watch Brody have 5 stressful conversations with women that generally hate him....wow what fun it is for a movie going audience. Brody's character was a jerk to them in the past and now comes and picks the scabs. Well picking scabs is not my idea of fun....if it is your idea of fun then this is the movie for you.
kill nice guys. zoe kazan's one of the best actresses of her generation and brody's so exceptional at being this truly horrible manipulative piece of shit. the structure makes it repetitive at times and after kazan's scene, it's impossible to look at anything else in the movie with the same light and it really should have concluded things, but labute giving this script to another filmmaker means that a lot of his pitying repugnant asshole behaviours don't go unrecognised. it's mostly just engaging competence with one astronomical sequence but hey, i liked it. final shot's terrifying.
How can a movie with Adam Brody, Zoe Kazan, Kristen Bell and Emily Watson be so repugnant
If I was his fiancée I would have murdered him. what a fucking gross doubletalking asshole
Y me equivoqué 🙈
This genuinely might be the worst movie I’ve ever watched. It was boring, had awful dialogue, and the main character is a horrible person with no redeeming qualities other than he’s played by Adam Brody. I love all the actresses in this movie but I’m not sure why I’d want to watch a man fumble over his words in front of several women for 90 mins when that’s something I experience firsthand almost daily.
