S/o Satyamurthy, So Satyamurthy
A family action drama, one that tries to glorify its good samaritan protagonist in every possible way possible. The narrative is loaded with your trademark Trivikram witty elements, Allu Arjun’s remarkably stylish performance, highly enjoyable comedy, peppy songs and solid dramatic emotions. The supporting cast of Upendra, Rajendra Prasad, Samantha, Nithya Menon, Ali and Brahmanandham make notable impressions. It is slightly overstretched, but if you are up for watching it with no expectations, it will end up as one solid fun outing.

Trash film with good prologue and epilogue but Samantha is just so cute!

anyway, trivikram somehow was able to fit in a factionalism and sickle killing is bad plot into something i expected to be a lot more urban. it's fine. i just think aravinda really perfects that formula. this was a confused action romcom.
super machi is my favorite telugu song of all time and it's very difficult to imagine it getting topped anytime soon. allu arjun's fashion in this is so top notch.
can't really give a rating to this because it perfectly fulfilled my expectations of a trivikram-allu arjun film. i knew what i wanted to watch tonight and i got it. if i have to live in a world with toxic masculinity, i want it to be trivikram style.
I was pretty thoroughly entertained throughout, but I was also increasingly uncomfortable with the class messaging at play, as the movie seemed to basically be of the opinion that the most powerful force for goodness in this world is the nobility of rich people, and that all those damned savage machete poors need to be shown the light by their betters.
(There's more to it than that, but Arushi's review puts it better than I could, and places it in a wider context than I have access to.)
Putting that aside, though--which is something I find myself having to say for one reason another about basically every Trivikram movie--the actual scene-to-scene entertainment value is high.

i’m actually shocked i haven’t seen this before , this movie is SO fucking good😭 lowk i was crying challa
[ you're the hero of my story, dad ]
part sensible drama with important values and part over the top action film. the film balances both halves well and the product is thoroughly entertaining even if at times inconsistent.
oh and allu arjun is in it and so that's a plus.
not a single funny joke throughout the 2½+ hours of runtime & i enjoyed it way more 8 years ago; preachiest trivikram movie ever probably. amazing soundtrack tho 🙏🏽
Yet another Telugu masala flick featuring a rich protagonist-fighting a bunch of goons!
