Jean-Claude van Damme doing his best Bruce Willis from "Die Hard"... and it's pretty damned good. I mean, for a no-holds-barred action movie, it is full of kills, kidnapping and chaos.
You have a great (and literal) ticking clock the whole time. And they don't dilly-dally around... this things starts in fifth gear and never slows down. Pretty awesome in terms of action thrillers.
Plus... the stakes are ENORMOUSLY HIGH. They kill kids. They kill ladies. They kill lots of innocents all over the place. And therefore ANYONE and EVERYONE is in true jeopardy. That puts a lot of great tension in play right from the start and it continues throughout the film.
It's a high concept conceit that genuinely pays off.
