A Swedish couple decide to unplug and spend a year off grid in the Swedish. Hoping to escape the stresses of everyday day life, and repair some cracks in their relationship they plan to document their yearlong experiment on a podcast. They pledge to be 100% open so that they can rediscover themselves….finding themselves is exactly what happens. Described as a metaphysical thriller, Superposition reminded me of Coherence, and to a lesser extent Jordan Peele’s Us. The tension gradually builds effectively as the couple settles into their forest home, but somewhat fizzles at it’s conclusion.

A Danish relationship drama with an interesting science fiction twist. If you dig movies like The One I Love, Another Earth and Coherence, then you will probably dig Superposition. If you dig those movies then you will probably be one step ahead of this one as well. Hell, I guessed about 98% of what was happening/going to happen just by seeing the trailer, and it wasn't even a spoiler-heavy trailer!
I have to say though that I was pleasantly surprised about one plot element. I was really hoping the movie would go there, but I didn't think it would. I'm glad the writer is just as much of a pervert as I am.. 👩🏼❤️👩🏼
Chilling; familiar; nonsensical; predictable; unhurried; unsatisfying; well-made.
A movie where you tell the main characters to go f*ck themselves, and then they come very close to doing that.
Starts out good but it drags on a bit in the second act and you can totally see where it's going.
Love it when films play with tone like this. Superposition is an interesting concept, but it's nothing new or different enough to really stand out. It still is an enjoyable time for what it is.
