On the whole, this was underwhelming. The setup is really interesting, bringing back together a father and son estranged through crime and addiction, but it meanders through a directionless half hour documenting their interactions but none of their emotions. The eventual reveal that Leon eventually fell off the wagon and died of an overdose is bizarrely relegated to the end credits, giving us none of the emotional weight of that tragic conclusion to his life. His father's quest for immortality would also have been interesting to square against his son's untimely death, but again, none of that is included in the film.
It's overall competently made from a technical perspective, but pretty dry and unengaging emotionally.
