Manu comes to India to find a bride for himself and falls for Tanu at first sight but Tanu, a free spirited girl has no plans of marrying him.
I was told good things about this movie. Instead, it is nothing but a long drawn out process of guilting Kangana Ranaut into marrying Madhavan because he loves her and is doing things for her, completely forgetting the fact that here's a man who kisses her when she's passed out, claims to have fallen in love with her while she was unconscious, and gives her a collage of pictures she doesn't know were taken. At the end of 120 minutes of coercion from friends and family, you realize that Tanu Weds Manu is basically an arranged marriage masquerading as a love story.
Why did nobody in this movie have a distinguishable personality???
Really bummed that this will be ending off my Bollywood series, but I found a couple gems. I had literally never seen a Bollywood movie before this month, so I really feel like I’m learning a bit about each culture I’m exposed to.
Technically I still have tomorrow to watch one last movie if I wanted, but wrapping it at 10 seems a bit more fluid.
Since bad is the new cool thing in town so there is nothing wrong in this film except the script is idiotic, acting is pathetic and direction is awful. The entire cast and crew must have been too high to make this piece of absolute crap.
I did avoid it for a significant period of time, still repenting the decision to waste my precious couple of hours with this.
NOTHING could've prepared me for that hideous ass nokia 3310 photo collage canvas reveal
men with no personality: yeah, she challenges me
This movie really thought making Kangana Ranaut say chutiya would be revolutionary.
it sucks that during the year this movie released, i had to go to india for my aunt’s wedding. every conversation i had with anyone started out with “have u found manu yet” 😐 i’m 9?????
A truly terrible movie. Every man in it is a villain, except for the fathers, who think they own women. They tried to make the main lead girl the "cool girl" trope but instead, she's just psychotic and self-destructive. The main lead guy is a creepy simp that goes to insane lengths to get her married to another guy and calls it being courageous. He then turns around and tries to steal her after all that by doing some creepy stuff that the main girl somehow finds endearing. It was a typical old-school sexist movie about arranged marriages being good and the strange desire to "tame" crazy women. I have no idea how it became so big. Overall, disappointed in Kangana Ranaut for it.
half a star for the CLASSIC sadi gali song to come out of this terrible movie and i liked pappi
