A late French silent film about the lady that tried to scam her way to the Russian throne, pretending to be a princess - Tarakanova (1930). With it's superfluous 2 hours in length it struggles to drive the movie forward and at times feeling like little was happening in the play for power. Half the scenes basically felt unnecessary. So for a movie which could have been a real classic with some better scenarios, Tarakanova becomes only half-a-classic with it's interesting story and fine visual style. Oh, and since it came out in 1930 it also had a soundtrack with a score and even some songs, though no dialogue.
