I really like these movies. They're basically a weird Swedish blend of Forrest Gump, Bad Grandpa, and Snatch. I daresay this one is even more charming than the original, as the characters are more familiar with each other and the balance of faux-historical anecdotes to present day action tilts more towards present day.
With this installment especially, this film series seems to be evolving into a geriatric Fast and the Furious (without the cars), as we have a thrown-together family of unassuming eccentrics who are basically bulletproof and who go on globetrotting adventures together.
I mean, this is a film about a bunch of people chasing down a coveted Soviet soda recipe that was pivotal in the brokering of peace talks between Nixon and Brezhnev. The 101-Year-Old Man loses his virginity and a monkey kills a guy with a champagne cork.
I sincerely hope they make eight more of these.
