The best thing about this movie is how it starts off as a movie about Sarah Jessica Parker and then it becomes Diane Keaton's movie and then it's about Claire Danes for a while and it ultimately becomes Rachel McAdams's movie, which is how all movies should end.
(this is Rachel's best role, fight me)
rachel mcadams is so cute and mean while she wears a dinosaur jr shirt and carries an npr tote... merry christmas to ME!
this movie is so cozy and feels so realistic and i love it a lot. there’s just so many little details that exist almost as background noise but add so much to the story. like i love that they still have a few halloween decorations up even though it’s christmas time. and how diane keaton’s book has a publisher’s remainder mark. and the way they talk with ASL even when thad isn’t in the room. i love rachel mcadams’s dinosaur jr shirt and her npr bag. and how each of the kid’s rooms perfectly reflect their personalities. i love how diane keaton says “that’s you and me kid” after meredith gives everybody their christmas presents. i love all the little details and it’s probably my favorite christmas movie because of them.
I 😭 love 😭 you 😭 and 😭 you 😭 are 😭 more 😭 normal 😭 than 😭 any 😭 other 😭 asshole 😭 sitting 😭 at 😭 this 😭 table 😭
reasons rachel mcadams’ character is the ultimate bisexual:
- dirty car
- under eye bags
- grunts at you when you tell them good morning
- wears too many layers
- only looks peaceful when asleep
- loves to start drama but gets offended when called out for it
- low key evil
when diane keaton points at rachel mcadams and says “that’s me and you, kid” ........ poetic cinemá
There's a part where the scene opens and Luke Wilson's sitting on a metal bleacher and bangs a rock on it a few times. Then puts the rock in his pocket. It makes no sense and it's never explained. I couldn't pay attention for the rest of the movie
